I googled for the best cajun food in atlanta and was sorely disappointed. I spent a decent amount of money celebrating my boyfriends birthday and was disappointed by everything I ordered. Got the poboy combo debris and cajun shrimp and chose chips as a side. Paid 15 dollars for two halves of inedible sandwiches and a snack bag of potato chips rather than fresh cooked chips which I assumed would be the side for the price of 15 dollars. My boyfriend got jambalaya which was was fine but not best in atlanta by far. Would not reccomend and will not come again.
MoreThis place is worth a try. They have big portions for affordable prices. Regularly neat and with good ambience. Will come visit again.
MoreI've edited my review after the restaurant replied explaining 30% of the 50% price hike when ordering through Uber Eats.Their sandwiches and shrimp dishes are definitely worth trying out. Staff is friendly and timely. Drinks are good. Just don't come for the Beignets, they are quite disappointing (crunchy and flavorless, about the opposite of what you would expect). I wish they were good, as they are hard to find in Atlanta without making them homemade.Original Review: Charges 50% more for a sandwich if you get it on a delivery app. Why is a $12 sandwich $18? Greed.
MoreWalk in and seat yourself at available table or booth. This is a wonderful community atmosphere to meet with friends and family to enjoy sports while eating New Orleans inspired dishes. The Orleans catfish with salad and andouille sausage mac-n-cheese (very cheesy and spicy)was more than generous in portion and taste. Other members in my party had gator bites and jambalaya with added shrimp. Generous in portion, too . The temperature of the food was great throughout the meal. Service was sound and expedient. Restrooms were very clean, as well. Very reasonable in pricing for quality and portions. Would recommend to anyone!!
MoreSmall place. It was decent. I don't think I'd go out of my way to go back there but it was okay. The alligator bites were pretty good. The jambalaya was decent.
MoreThey have great cocktails and even better food in the environment is super laid-back great place for after work drinks or lunch break
MoreFlavorful foods that come in good size portions, served by friendly staff, and the prices are reasonable! I would definitely recommend them.
MoreThe food was good, don’t come here expecting something spectacular, I give the food a 6 out of 10. Customer service wasn’t awesome but it wasn’t horrible I would give them a 5 out of 10. The bathroom was completely dirty I had to wait until I got to the table to dry my hands off I give that a 2 out of 10! It’s not a bad experience but if you want a great Po Boy I recommend trying some place else I know Home Grown In has awesome Po Boys! This place their okay.
MoreFood is good, service is okay at best. Bet chill LSU theme bar.
First time there, the food was good and people were great
Absolutely great Cajun food! The gumbo is awesome. The crab claws and fried gator are delicious and we all loved our meal. I got the bourbon salmon BLT, daughter got the Crawfish etouffee and my friend got the shrimp poboy.. this is now our favorite Cajun restaurant around! After living in Louisiana for 6 yrs I have missed the good Louisiana food since moving back to Georgia. Now I have somewhere to get my fix!
MorePasta was so good. I ordered a second plate because I ate the first plate in less than 10 mins. I wish I knew their recipe. I’ll be back again soon and yes it do taste like New Orleans pasta
MoreHad lunch here. Fried crab claws super good. Voodoo shrimp salad and burger was excellent.
MoreAtmosphere does give off a kind of New Orleans feel. Place is a little small, but good food (I had the fried shrimp with the daily veg) at a reasonable price. Overall, it felt like a higher end dive bar with decent food.
MoreFantastic place to recreate my visit to New Orleans. The food brings back memories and is well made!
MoreGood Cajun food. Great service.
I have been here several times. I usually get the combo basket. The fried catfish, alligator, and shrimp are really good. I haven't been disappointed yet.
MoreThe Big Easy Oysters are DELICIOUS!!! Not a total fan of the po boy but I'd eat these oysters everyday!
MoreFriendly New Orleans atmosphere. Good food. Lots of seafood. Would like to see roast beef and ham and cheese selection of poboys. Prices very reasonable.
MoreFood is always consistently hit and delicious! Although a lot of people know about Big Easy, it's still a best kept secret. As a former gulf side resident I know good, fresh seafood and a good Cajun style flavor. Big Easy got it going on!
MoreLove the atmosphere because I'm from New Orleans. Food was good not great but of course my standards are high for Cajun food since I am Cajun. Great place to watch Louisiana sports teams!
MoreCool little funky place.. food is always great. Get here a little before lunch time as parking fills up quickly. Would definitely recommend this place. Ordered most every salad they have and they are awesome! Cant go wrong with a shrimp basket either! Also have a cool outdoor area to sit and eat.
MoreWe stopped here for a meal that tastes like home, New Orleans of course!! 😉 Everything was great and very tasteful.
MoreAbsolutely love this place food was great. And vibe was very relaxed
Love this place! Oysters on the half shell with a cold beer. The Blackened Chicken Salad is great too. Great vibes. Good service.
MoreOysters were over cooked & RUBER TEXTURE.... Fries frozen
I've never been disappointed eating here. Tube food is fantastic and consistent. My favorite is the shrimp and catfish basket. I mean even the cocktail sauce and the tartar sauce got flavor. Nice kick back spot to grab a bite and a drink. Everything on the menu in a winner so explore.
MoreAs a New Orleanian struggling to find good Creole food in the area I gave them a try via Postmates. Their food lacks flavor the red beans and rice had no seasoning but the beignets were good.Kind of surprised by the number of 4 and 5 star reviews. I guess the standards are a bit low in the area.
MoreThe food was awesome best I’ve had truly authentic the service was amazing as well try the adult lemonade
MoreA hidden gem in Atlanta if you’re missing the “Big Easy”! Great little Cajun/Creole cafe on the Westside featuring a Louisiana Chef that makes everything from scratch. All of the seafood is brought in fresh Louisiana. I love the fried oysters and Cajun Queso-Alligator sausage & cheese served with chips. Their menu also includes the LA staples of Jambalaya, Etouffee and Gumbo (Shrimp, Chicken & Sausage)... really wish they had a regular Gumbo and a separate seafood gumbo.Cool dive bar atmosphere with a nice patio that could just as well be found on any side street in the French Quarter.
MoreI came here by myself and it was amazing! The staff is very nice and they move fast. The food was amazing. The blackened grilled Salmon could use more seasoning but it was still good. The jambalaya was also very good! Some of the best wings I’ve had here in Atlanta! I would definitely revisit this restaurant and I recommend it for a quick cute date or even if you just want some me time.
MoreThe food was amazing!
Food was great 👌, very nice ladies took my togo order. Wait time was great.
These people are very pleasant and have welcoming attitudes. But the fried oysters and fries I got was poorly made. Soggy and batter not fried to a crisp to even be enjoyable. Every oyster I picked up feel apart and doughy on the inside. Still great atmosphere but they won't get another hard earned penny of mine
MoreI love the deep fried pbj sandwiches here.
Food so good...I could eat here every week!
Good Food, Fast Service. We will return.
Good food nice place nice people will go back we recommend it to everybody
Nice neighborhood New Orleans style restaurant. Hole in the Wall feel that the locals love. Covered and heated patio to watch the games. Or watch inside
MoreIt a amazing place to eat. shrimp and grits are awesome
Very friendly service. Tasty food!
Great for Crawfish. Enjoy eating outside.
Wish the wait staff would have been a bit more prompt. Outside of that, fantastic. Atmosphere, entertainment, friendly service, and over the top food for a medium sized budget :)
MoreThe alligator was amazing and so was the jambalaya. Our waitress was polite and always smiling. She was on point for our entire dinner.
MoreSeasoning Is not on point.
First timer. Next best thing to being in NOLA! Half oyster & half crawfish poboy was perfect. Gumbo will make you come back! Service was very prompt and professional. Thanks, Stephanie for a great experience. Until next time...
MoreOne of the best places for southern comfort food...if you are looking for Cajun or New Orleans kinda food, Big Easy Grille is the place to go to...from catfish to étouffée to crawfish...this place is for you. They have a bar, seating for inside and outside. There are tables and booths. I really love the ambiance inside the restaurant. The staff inside is very friendly and very inviting but most of all the food was the best.
MoreNOLA is our second home so we're always on the prowl for a restaurant that reminds us of the Big Easy. This place wasn't far off but not exactly close either. Keep in mind this was our first time eating here and if I have my way it won't be the last either. Then again, we were in Atlanta as travelers so... The jambalaya was about 30 minutes out so I settled for red beans and rice. Very good. Looked like what I might find in the French Quarter but didn't quite taste the part. As I said, though, still very good. My girl got the fried shrimp and fries. She also said it was good. The service was terrific and I loved the cozy atmosphere of the place. If we are ever in the area again, we'll be back. Don't worry.
MoreI've only been to a few cities in Louisiana and I have to say the Crawfish etouffee is tastily similar to Crawfish etouffee at Parrains in Baton Rouge. The place is very relaxing and made me feel like I was not in the ATL for a couple hours. Each dish we ordered was delicious and arrived in a timely fashion. Gave us enough time to absorb the atmosphere, talk and jus enjoy the slow pace projected by our environment. The wait staff was helpful and courteous. Check out the pics and we'll be back... With friends next time!
MoreLove the ambiance and loved the food even more! These guys are doing New Orleans food the right way and you can taste it! Side note I love seeing Tulane represented in this establishment! #RollWave
